RV bike rack guide
Motorhome bike rack rules
Motorized RVs are often treated differently from towable RVs, and manufacturer support can still mean a reduced load or a geometry condition.
Motorized-RV support can be conditional
Thule currently publishes reduced-load guidance for several hitch racks on motorized RVs. Küat’s warranty also distinguishes qualifying Class B motorhomes from broader RV use. The exact product and configuration matter.
Measure the installation, not only the bike
Rear overhang, receiver type and hitch accessories can change support. If a manual defines an axle-to-hitch or rear-overhang limit, measure the actual vehicle rather than relying only on a Class A/B/C label.
Heavy e-bikes deserve an RV-specific check
A rack rated for a heavy e-bike on a passenger vehicle can carry less in an RV application. Use the manufacturer’s RV value and verify the loaded bike weight.
